I was thinking about this the other day..
I mean... it's a city! That's like trying to "hide" Pittsburgh or something. Oh yeah... with guns, lack of communications, and no Google Earth. I forgot about that.
I bet if I managed to time travel back to the late-1800's with my iPhone, I'd start another round of Witch Hunts just from being able to play music from the magic box in my hand. And they'd demand that I release the people that I've trapped inside of it when I flip over to a TV show or movie.
I'd be like fucking Ash in Army of Darkness. This. Is. My. Boom... wait... no... it's not. This is my... APPLE!
not quite the same ring to it.
So here's the game today... pick a modern thing and a time that you'd love to travel back to with it and tell us all how you think it would make the natives of that time period react.
But you can't take... like... the internet or something with you. Cause that's a whole infrastructure network. You can take the device, but you can't take the network it connects to. You can take your phone, but you can't really call anyone on it. You can take your xbox, but you better be able to figure out where you're gonna plug it into.
So pick something fun and take it back. It doesn't have to be technology.. You can take your car back to Ancient Egypt. or an airplane to fly and check out some dinosaurs. Or a tank to the Revolutionary War. Modern Tactical Assault gear to fight in the Roman Colosseum. Something fun like that. Pick something, tell us all how it would fuck with people and why it would be awesomely funny to take it back there.
