Day 642.1
Can someone please explain the appeal of True Blood to me anymore? I watched the first season. It was very good. I watched the 2nd season. It started getting fucking stupid. I ignored the next 2 seasons. I tried watching the season premier for this season and is there anyone on this fucking show that is NOT some form of a supernatural creature now? Doesn't it kind of eliminate the uniqueness of this show when 99% of the god damn cast is a freak? It's like X-Men 3 now. Everyone is a fucking mutant and they just wanted to see what kind of other freak they could hamfistedly jam into there so that they could have more cool visuals.
It's like a 1997 Geocities page in tv show format. Just stick as much spinning glittery shit there as you can and people won't be able to look away.
There is apparently now vampires, werewolves, some other kinda shape-shifting thing, fairies, whatever the fuck that horned chick in season 2 was supposed to be and I know I'm missing at least a handful of others. Then I read a thing saying they might add some zombies into it. Because you know... why the fuck not?
The uniqueness of dealing with a world with vampires was enough. Even that lady with the fucking bull head from season 2 might have been reasonable. Though it made no god damn sense. But then the bartender turns into a puppy and now a bird?
This shit just turned into Twilight without the glitter. And slightly better acting. Rogue is definitely a better actress than that chick that always looks like she was crying up until 10 seconds before they yelled "action". She's Keanu Reeves bad.
Oh wait... there's the random homoeroticism to it? Oh... is that the appeal? I can get behind that. I mean... not my thing, but whatever. Cool. Hot to some people. Naked man-ass and a lot of shirtless guys? I can get the appeal of that too. I read comic books and watched wrestling when I was 13. I'm not really bothered or interested in shirtless men running around.
Is it that shock value and the visual drool factor for some people? Cause I'm not getting the appeal at all anymore.
