Not Again?!?! - RTOTD #765

Day 765

Well... we had another killer New Years party this year. And thank you ALL for coming out. It was a great party with a lot of people. Much more a social party than a play party, but who the fuck cares? It was a great way to end a shitty year and cross our fingers for the next one to not suck even half as much.

The thing is... we had another issue. And see, this is a problem because I trust you all to act like adults. But when I need to hear about it from someone else, at least one of you isn't acting like an adult. And that's a problem.

M-E-S-B 's truck was sideswiped and his mirror was taken off.

If you are responsible, just please... send him a message about it. He's not upset, but he's also not really pleased that it happened and whoever did it just took off. AGAIN.

Look... my roomies and I have opened our house up on an almost monthly basis (and sometimes more than monthly) for the past year and a half now. We've thrown parties with no limit on who comes (except for basic common sense stuff) or what you can do. But we've done so with the quiet assumption that you will act like adults and be responsible. And for the first year we had these parties, we had zero problems (except one roomie accidentally kicking a wall... *cough cough*) but in the past 6 months, we've had 2 issues with parked cars being hit.

Now, the first time, we all kinda pitched in and took care of it. Because it was a neighbor and we don't wanna piss off the neighbors. They're the ones that could make an issue and call the cops for noise or whatever, but they've been cool.

This time, it was another guest whose car was damaged. THIS IS NOT FUCKING COOL.

Nobody sacked up the first time around and owned the mistake. And while it could have been a weird coincidence with a different neighbor, neighbor's guest, or just random passerby being the one responsible for it the first time around, that being the case AGAIN this time is unlikely.

So here's the deal... I don't even know if any of you were responsible for it. But if nobody is willing to own this shit, sack the fuck up, contact either myself or M-E-S-B and taken ownership of the mistake, we're going to be making significant changes to who is permitted to attend future parties, if we even decide to continue doing them. Talk to the people you were with. Ask the people you came with. But I want this shit taken care of.

So it's time to be an adult and own your fuckup. I expect to hear from someone owning this. Because this is NOT FUCKING COOL.
