Random Thought Of The Day #558

Day 558

Man... I saw a thing about scientists figuring out how to read your brain this morning and even that couldn't get me hyped up to write something here.

I mean, I could go weight in on watching that trainwreck of a topic about Person A and Person B having a bad suspension scene & what happened or didn't happen or whatever. But I could give a shit about that too.

But I am gonna ask the question that I feel needs asked.

When did it become anyone elses business? Why does it have to go like this:

1. Something happens.
2. People talk about said thing online before anyone really knows what happens.
3. The people involved decide they need to make the "figuring out what happened" process a public thing as well because everyone is asking THEM what happened cause of "that thing they saw online".
4. People not involved decide they need to be part of said discussion.
5. Flame war.
6. Nothing is really accomplished, people get bored of the trainwreck and go watch something else, nothing is reconciled between Persons A & B and hard feelings are generally held by all.
7. Reconciliation/apology/factual investigation fail.

When the fuck did someone else's fuck-ups need to become a spectator sport?

Look, I barely even know who half you you people are. I don't really give a shit about if someone tied someone else poorly and they fell on their god damned head. Shit happens. People fuck up. Or sometimes they don't and people exaggerate shit. I could care less.

Though I also need to ask... since we're treating kink accidents like a spectator sport now, does that mean that when someone hits their head, we need to send them off to the Quiet Room for a while before giving them a concussion baseline test?

Can they start wearing numbers and have their names stitched on the backs of their corsets/panties/vests/etc? Cause that would make it a lot more fun.
And can we have teams? Cause that would be even more fun. With a draft and trades and even a farm system.

"I can't wait for the 2012 Riggers Entry Draft! We're drafting 2nd this year."

That's it. The Professional Riggers League. Fuck... collegiate co-ed badminton is on ESPN, we can totally get a TV deal.
