Random Thought Of The Day #413

Day 413

I think I've mentioned this before, but I feel (based on my wonderfully healthy breakfast) that the food pyramid should be re-organized again.

But this time, it should be based on the color of your foods.  For instance, we get a lot of orange/neon orange (Dorito's, cheddar cheese, mountain dew live wire, carrots), green (brocolli, peas, regular mountain dew) and most other color foods, but we are terribly Blue deficient.  What foods are blue? Hell, even blueberries aren't blue! They're purple.

We need more blue in our diets. And red. Because the only ones that get enough red in their diets are vampires and winos... but for all the rest of us, we're terribly red deficient as well. What other foods are red except for blood and wine?

Wait a second... I thought Christians were into that whole blood of christ/wine thing... but vampires are evil to Christians because they drink actual blood? Weird... talk about confusing shit...That's making my head hurt thinking about it.

But anyway...

Screw the system in place now... who cares if it's a grain or diary or fruit or whatever product food? What difference is it what kind of calories or carbohydrates or fat or vitamins are in it? What really matters is that we're not getting enough colors in our diets.

So your jobs are go to find blue things and eat them. But I don't think the blue crayon is gonna help out much. Feel free to try though.

But I'm totally not going to be legally responsible for whatever happens.

  1. Crap. I just realized that I totally forgot about all the tomato-based foods we eat. I guess that takes Red off the list of deficient food colors. But we're still totally Blue deficient in our diets.
